Day 26 in 26 Days of Alphabetical Resoluting...Z Words...

Hope you don't think I'm being ZILLY, but today (Friday the 26th) is the ZENITH in my alphabetical resoluting...LOL...
I do want to be ZEALOUS of good works, as Paul said:
"Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, ZEALOUS of good works." Titus 2:14: ...
Do plan to have a little ZIP, trying not to ZIGZAG back and forth like a ZOMBIE...Being a little ZANY at times, while putting a ZIPLOCK on my mouth..(At times!...LOL)...

ZO let's ZOOM in on some Z words in scripture:

And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for the law shall go forth of ZION, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. (Micah 2:4)

But it is good to be ZEALOUSLY affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.
(Galatians 4:18)...

For I bear them record that they have a ZEAL of God, but not according to knowledge. (Romans 10:2)...

Knowledge is defined as information gained and preserved, and wisdom as the wise use of knowledge. CERTAINLY, we can't have wisdom, without ZIPPING into the Word. 
Mindful that Solomon said: 
"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." (Proverbs 4:7)...

Now I want us to look at four great Z-MEN mentioned in the Holy Bible: 

ZACHARIAS was an old prophet and priest who was faithful to God in all that he did. Once, while he was in the temple praying, the Angel Gabriel appeared to him, and said: "Do not be afraid, ZACHARIAS, your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord." 
(Luke 1:13-14)..
John later grew up to become the Forerunner of Christ Jesus, and Jesus said that John was the greatest man that had yet been born,...and John, being humble and knowing, said that there was one coming after him whose sandals he was not worthy to unloose.

ZEBEDEE was a fisherman on the Sea of Galilee. I consider him a great man because of his two sons, whom Jesus referred to as Sons of Thunder (James & John)...They wanted Jesus to rain down fire from Heaven and destroy some Samaritans that didn't welcome Jesus and His disciples as they passed through their village. Both men become Apostles and John is referred to as the disciple who Jesus loved, and the one that Jesus entrusted His mother to at His crucifixion. Both of ZEBEDEE'S sons were great servants and writers in the New Testament.

ZACCHEUS was a rich publican tax collector, who is great not because he climbed a ZYCAMORE tree...OK Sycamore...But because of what he said and later did after Jesus visited his home: 
"And ZACCHEUS stood, and said unto the Lord, Behold, Lord, thehalf of my goodsIgive to the poor; and if I have wrongfully exacted aught of any man, I restore fourfold." ... Luke 19:8...

ZEBULON means exalt or give honor, and ZEBULON was the 10th son of Jacob & the 10th tribe of Israel. The tribe of ZEBULON disobeyed God for awhile, but later repented and returned to God, who is alwayZ ready to ZOOM in when we ZIN...sin...LOL...

There is a great Church of Christ in Pikeville, Kentucky today...The ZEBULON CHURCH OF CHRIST. This church has had some great preachers of the Word, and still does with Shane Lockard....Serving God with knowledge & wisdom ZESTFULLY.
